| I had a most unusual bird in my yard (central AR). Would love to have taken a picture but retrieving camera would have frightened off the bird. Anyway, it was black and white striped with bright yellow shoulders, about the size of or slightly larger than house finches. If I remember correctly, it had a warbler type bill. There was no other yellow on the bird that I was able to see. It did not come to my (very active) feeders, but it did drink from the fountain. I have a lot of birds on my life list but certainly not one like this. Can anyone give me a hint as to what it might be? Thank you. |
