Red Bellied Woodpecker up close and personal

| They usually don't come to the kitchen window feeder but I have been lazy about refilling the feeders so it was desperate.
My husband yelled at me to come take a picture and I just grabbed the camera and didn't take time to check the exposure which was on almost +2 on my Panasonic DMC FZ8 and I didn't have the macro feature on and was about 12 feet back using the zoom. ISO 400.

| That's a she. Notice the red does not extend to the cap. I'm curious, what is in that feeder that she's looking for? Very cute picture. |

| Kendra, not much! There was a little of the hen scratch and BOSS mix left in the cup. I filled the feeder right after so now she will feed out at the Elm tree. |
