Brrrrrrrrr!! Your spring isn't quite so wonderful yet, is it? :( We at least have gotten rid of all of our snow. Now we just need some flowers to start showing up!! How much longer for you?
march is normally our most snowy month of the year but it is wetter or slushy snows usually and they melt faster. it is the middle of april before the grass starts greening up and a few tulips or crocus start breaking the ground. it in late april before the orioles return and start to nest. We get frost here up to mid may most years and can't sit out tomato or squash or pepper plants till late april or mid may unless they are covered at night or in hoop houses ect. a few things like beets or onions or lettuce ect can be planted mid april most years.
