That's great. Where are you located? I still have a while to go before I'll see them bringing in nesting material. Hope everything goes well for you, and you end up with a successful nesting.

Good luck to you both. The pair of blues who had one brood in the box in my yard last year have been coming here, eating the mealworms i put out and then flying away. About a month ago, I saw them checking out the box but they've quit that and I think they have gone elsewhere to make their nest :(

Last year they had one brood here and then went somewhere else. I know they had a brood somewhere else because Daddy because the parents brought 5 fledglings to my mealworm feeder after their 2 weeks with Daddy. Didn't see any more fledglings than that.

Linda, NW Georgia...I'm blue over blues :(

My blues came back again yesterday, until then had'nt seen them since last Tuesday but could here them in the woods behind the house....but yesterday they flew to the box the male checked it out going in and out but not the female, so I went to the store yesterday and bought mealworms so this afternoon I put some out on my patio and they were ther in 5 min. and the male flew into the box a couple of times and then they flew off, then when I came home from work around 630 this eve I put another serving of worms out and they were there again so they're somewhere close but not nesting in my box. I also live in ILL. across from downtown St.Louis in a town called Edwardsville. I believe in my cul-de-sac I'm the only one with a nesting box. Is this normal Blue behavior? any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

also I've been searching on the internet about mealworms, are dried mealworms good for blues they seem to be cheaper.
