| We moved the nestcam Sunday to the box the female bluebird has built her nest in. I believe the nest is completed but there weren't any eggs yet. Luckly, she did wait until the weather here was not as cold and raining.
The nestbox is from WBU and it is not as tall as the box the cam was originally installed in to. Also, she built her nest very high. I might remove a bit of nesting material from the bottom to lower the view.
The pole the nestbox w/cam is now baffled with makes a lot of noise wobbling when its windy. I didn't want to use this baffle but my dh had a stubborn streak Sunday and didn't want to restring the cam cable through the other baffle I have. There wasn't anything to worry about though. The female blue showed up at around 12 Tuesday afternoon. She went into the box and layed the first egg and most of the time she was in the box the baffle was banging away.
I finally figured out how to make 3 shorter videos out of the large one with Windows Movie Maker. I had to break it down to 3 different videos for uploading to youtube. They have lenght and size limites.
Part 1
Just before 12:00pm, Tuesday, I checked the cam feed just to see if anything was going on in the box. And this is what I saw. She does seem a little nervous, seems to look around then leaves but came right back.

This clip starts several minutes after Part 1 ended. I cut out the parts where she was just sitting in the cup.
Part 2
You can see the female's neck puff up and she slowly stands up in the nest. Also, you can see as she pushs several times to lay the egg. Several of the pushes look to be quite strong.

Part 3
This clip starts where Part 2 ends. She continues to rest after laying the egg. You won't be able to see the egg until after she leaves the box.

A little while later I went and put the sparrow spooker on.
