The Wrens are in Michigan too. I saw one today in and out of the nest box and never heard it once.

Well rats.......I am not sure my Mom Blue is accepting the spooker any too well. I took it off yesterday around 10 am because she wasn't in the box. She laid her first egg about 11, and the second about the same time the next day. Im leaving it on today with careful monitoring....not quite sure how she will take to the Wren guard.

Mine had trouble with it this year. The male didn't get it either. I've never had these dumb birds before. LOL I had to cut a flap in the front over the hole and she finally got it. It's taped back in place now.

OH I so hate to see the names of those birds in subject lines...

I hate to even breathe their names. They are not here, I pray they won't come but I'm not naive.

At least we have each other to vent to!

I didn't realize wrens were a problem for Bluebirds! I have several wren houses around the house and blue bird houses a little farther away. Haven't observed any problems. My place is in the country.

dadux,

Are your wrens house wrens or carolina wrens? Carolina wrens are no problem.

RE: Wrens!

I wish! I love Carolinas but I don't see them very often.
