Saw 5 of my baby blues fledge :)

| There were 6 eggs in the nest. It was always too cold to monitor the nest box. When it finally got warm enough, I didn't dare check the box cuz the babies were 9-12 days old (didn't know for sure when she started incubating) and I didn't want them to fly out. Anyway 5 made it for sure. I saw them!!!! :) |

| Yes we do!!! 1 baby SCARED me. It was about to leave the nest and changed his mind. He couldn't get back in the box and not enough room to fly, so he fell to the ground. I went out there to pick him up and mom dive bombed and snapped at me like crazy. Just as I was about to pick it up it flew....so I was really relieved. I will check the box tomorrow to see if there is an egg left in there or I missed the 6th baby leaving. Karen |

| Wonderful news indeed Karen! That's a big clutch! I know you're both happy and relieved to see them well. Missy's first brood (5) all made it safely to the trees right from the box, and we are relishing their success now... as she has already laid 3 blue eggs in her second nest as of this afternoon. | I can't believe your only an hour away and your always WAY ahead of me...well not ME but your Blues..."we" have only been incubating for 5 days! How were the water works when they left......I am always (as Bet likes to quote) the "blubbering idiot" when they leave...you would think by now, 5 years into this, I would have it together. I will bet you this year will be no different. LOL |

| No water works Lisa....it's worse. I was watching them through the binocs and I kept saying "come on little blue u can do it, u can do it" and when they left I told them "good job" I told my DH he really should call the people in white coats. Karen |

| I sat there comforting my little girl with each egg she laid. Breathe honey , it will be ok.....watching her on the tv talkig to her...and RX thinks he LOOKS silly...he has a long way to go! LOL |
