Mom & Pop both fed them the whole 16 days. # 1 out at 1:30 today #2 & #3 out at 3:05 and 3:10 pm.#1 went 35 yds at a 45 degree angle to the nearest tree. #2 -30 yds same tree. #3 went40 yds to another tree. M&P feeding and chasing away other birds. There were only 3 babies in the box- no egg shells or dead babies. First time to see a BB fledging!!
Isn't it just a wonderful thing to get to see your babies first flight! You can feel proud you did so much good to help out these wonderful little creatures!
Yesterday was the FIRST day I saw a bluebird somewhere other than my yard. It was nice to think some of my previous babies may be flourishing out there..
