In a related matter to my earlier post on "abandon nest" when is the nesting season usually over. If I remove the old nest and eggs say in another week would there be a chance for another nest.

Songbird, you don't say where you're located, but in my area (central Maryland) nesting season usually lasts through August. I've even had a fledging occur as late as the 9th of September. On average, however, 3rd nestings here usually begin mid to late July.

I realized I did not say my location afterward. I live in the south east clost to Houston Tx. It is getting hot here already.

I am in New York and sometimes I get 2 nestings and sometimes 3, the last one in August, which is way too close to Fall for my liking. Where you are you probably could have three. I don't know if they ever do more than 3 nestings.
