| 4 of them. Nested at a box in the opposite pair the bluebirds were nesting in. I think it was the pair the bluebirds chased off, because they wouldn't let any TRES near their box or the other one in the pair and Mr. Blue was so crazy! He'd go up into the air and chase that TRES back and forth! It was pretty funny actually.
This was the 2nd TRES nesting in the same box. The previous brood (which I think was a different pair) had 5 young. I fledged 15 TRES this season. Once again, more than the bluebirds. Still have the 4 Bluebirds at my other site. Now 14 days old. So they'll fledge later this weekend into early next week. That's when my season looks like it will come to a close :( I'd call it successful still, despite all the heavy losses I suffered this year. ~Tim~ |

| Tim, this was my first year that no TRES nested here. They showed up, looked around, and left. I have no idea why. So I am particularly happy for your success with the TRES. I love the Blues, but I love the TRES too. I too would call it a success. You've still got more Blues ready to launch. I think you're doing a great job! |

| YEA TIM! A better year for you! My season over too : ( catch ya next year! Blessings my friend! |
