Blue Bird Babies

We have a nest of 5 babies blues. They are huge and do not fit the nest of box anymore. I was surprised they did not leave today, but I think tomorrow.
I am feeding meal worms and Mom and Dad will almost sit and beg for more.

We have a camera in the nest box. We also have one on a batch of woodduck eggs that hatched today. So we may lose every one on camera tomorrow and of course I have a Dr. appointment, so I may miss it all. Must have hubby re-cord it for me.
I will miss watching them everyday.

Dont' be sad!!They may come to your yard to feed in a few weeks.Next year they may come back to nest in your yard. This year we had 2 families that nested in our yard.We are quite sure that they were last years off springs.

Well the wood ducks jumped and are now sitting in the grass along the edge of the pond and the baby blues are lierally hanging out the door of their house. I am sure they will leave soon.
