I hope someone might enjoy seeing a few pics of some of the birds that hang around our house.

As always, your photos are wonderful. Thank you for sharing those. I don't recognize the bird in the picture under the catbird. Could someone tell me what kind of bird that is?

Thanks for the nice comments, folks.

kendra, it is a yellow-rumped warbler, viewed from a somewhat unusual angle. I suspect you would have recognized it had I used this shot:

And here is a pine siskin

and a blue-gray gnatcatcher

And one of my favorite bluebird shots

And lastly, a female, not as far out on the limb:

Cool. Thank you so much for identifying the Yellow-Rumped Warbler and for posting the new pictures. They are wonderful.

Don't know what the post just prior to this one has to do with birdwatching. I notice similar posts by lzqqqq on most of the recent threads. Is there some way to remove garbage like that?

You can use the "contact us" link on the bottom of the page. I know I used it, and some others did too, to complain when someone was posting shoe ads here. They did remove them.

Dave, thank you so much for posting! Your pictures are so beautiful! I was wondering how you got your pictures to post. I have tried and tried different methods to get my pics to post on here, but it never seems to work. I can only get one small one. Directions??

Hi deanie:

Sorry I have been slow in responding. I have been out of town for a wedding.

Not sure where to start. If I cover stuff that you already know or have tried, just skim over it, but this is how I do it.

I contribute to half a dozen different forums and they are all somewhat different from each other. With some you can upload directly from your computer to the forum but most require you to first upload your photos to an online storage location, like Photobucket. With some of the forums all you need is a link, but here at GW you need to add a little more.

I have had to write the instructions on a picture and then post it because the GW server will not show the IMG stuff we have to add before the link.

I have never had the problem with the pictures coming out small. Maybe you are linking to the thumbnail and not the full size picture?

Dave
