| My name is Eben Cole, I'm a Mainer, and I just wanted to introduce myself and say hello to everyone on this forum! I'm a divorced father of one who makes his living as a lobster fisherman, so if anyone has any questions about lobster fishing or answers about parenting (!), then speak up because that's what i'm here for!

From troubling reports of the lack of live lobsters in the sea where you are probably fishing, didn't you folks ever think that by removing every last lobster from that area, that they might not be able to get any more? Did they think that the Government would supply boat loads of live lobsters, for you folks to gather, sell, and make money from? I personally do not like lobster meat! Ugh!! no way, no thanks. But, the folks who do are going to be mad when there is no more lobster meat! Haven't you people ever heard of the term over-fishing? That is from practises as done by the commercial fishermen! And now, even they are complaining about the great lack of edible fish! Please correct me if i'm wrong! but, on another note, welcome aboard! Have any questions about yer machinery, feel free to ask! Eben, Welcome to the forum. Wow Rusty...thats not such a friendly greeting. Hopefully he comes back to visit. I love Maine and have a lot of family there. What part are you from? I ws born in Portland and my family all lives in the OOB/Saco/Biddeford/Scarborough area. I would love to move back someday if possible. Been in NJ for so long now I wonder if i will ever go back. How old is your child? How long you been lobstering? Do you camp often? Ever go to the Bel Grade Lakes region? I love it there and go as often as I can. Lynda |

| Hello from another NJ flatlander who loves Maine! I spend my summers there working in the Rangeley Lakes region! I get to camp all summer! If I'm not mistaken I thought the problem with the lobsters had something to do with some disease that wasn't allowing them to molt and it was affecting the more southern areas of New England. That was a couple of years ago so who knows now. But, I absolutely love fresh Maine lobster so it better not run out! It's my favorite thing in the world and trust me, it's not the same here! Not only is it VERY expensive here but this is the only place where they actually overcook your lobsters! |

| By the way, Rusty's harmless! We all love him but I guess he really was feeling grumpy that day! I've heard it said by my Maine friends, that once a flatlander always a flatlander! One thing is true, I am a cold weather wimp and couldn't handle those beautiful 0 degree winter days they tell me about! |
