Backpacking in FL

| I am thinking about doing an internship which would require me to hike through the woods with a heavy pack and before I agree to it, I'd like to try backpack-camping in Florida, where I live, anyone have any suggestions of places to do so? Some where with lots of hiking and primitive camping permits available... |

Aww, just join the Army! They'll sure change yer ideas about back-packing and hiking! They did that fer me. And, watch where you hike, and don't go alone! and watch where ya put yer feet! By: Rusty J. |

| I think there's a Florida Trail. There's a long trail in the Panhandle (should be able to find it on google with Florida, trail, backpack). There's a 16 mile trail in the Everglades off the 94 loop road. After 16 miles of heat, bugs, swamps, gators and snakes, anything else should seem like a breeze. |
