Hiya all, been a student studying full time at the local college and been really busy with home work etc. Been a long time since Ive been in school, what a shock. I will try to stop in more often, I miss everyone. Jen has been keeping me posted a little now and then. Hope everyone is staying healthy, and out of trouble. Spring is almost here, get those sleeping bags aired out.
Jerry, hubby goes back to the canyon the first week of April, he is so excited. He is going for a week with a buddy of his this time. Have you been camping lately?
Brian, hows the cycle trip going, are you back?

Welcome Back! Just got a bunch of stuff for my birthday,
today. Can't wait to use it all. Folks at work got me a 50 dollar gift cert. to a local outdoor shop. Got a fleece bag that can be used for sleeping bag, blanket, pillow, towel, and any other MacGuyver thing that you can think of. Going camping in Lake Meade area in two weeks.
Supposed to be in the mid seventies....ahhh.... can't wait!
I will post the wildflower pictures here when I get back.
Thanks for asking, cheers! Jerry

Welcome back Lynda!

So far this year I've taken several day trips in Virginia, and gone down to Beaufort, SC and back once, with temperatures mostly in the thirties each way. The Gerbing electric jacket liner is wonderful. I guess I put about 2,000 miles on the bike in January and February.

I'm still gathering stuff for a prospective trip to Alaska. We'll have to really pack carefully to make this a part camping trip, but we think we can do it. I've picked up new, smaller and lighter Thermarest pads and a dual fuel stove to replace the white gas only one....other than that it's picking through what we already have.

I just got the 784 page MILEPOST publication from Amazon.com. It's a very comprehensive guide to North Country travel. I recommend it to anyone thinking about a trip to the Northwest and Alaska.

What courses were you taking?

Hi Lynda! Nice to see you here! It is such a beautiful day today! Unfortunately, it's supposed to be very cold this weekend! Even more unfortunate, I will be chaperoning my students on a camping (in lodges) weekend in that cold!

Jerry, happy Birthday!

RE: Anyone miss me.......

Jerry, Happy belated birthday!!! Sounds like you have some good trips. Hubby is so anxious to get to the Canyon again, they leave April 30th. They got the plane tickets last wk, got the permits, they have been hiking with backpacks weighted down with 40 lb of birdseed.

Brian, I am going for Medical Office Administration. It is done the last week of April. It has been really intense, but a good course. I passed the state test I took a month ago. I have to take a couple more and if all goes well I'll pass and be on my way. Thanks for asking.
Lynda
