Camp kitchens and storage

| We've recently purchased a pop-up and are downsizing from a 5th wheel. My biggest problem is going to be storage! For those of you with pop-ups where do you store all your kitchen supplies? Ours is a 12 ft box with a dinette as well as a u-shaped dinette but under one seat is the hot water tank and I believe the furnace is under another seat so I don't have much "cupboard" space and plan to store my linens in the empty seat boxes. If anyone has plans for a camp kitchen that can be sent out could you please send me a copy at jtdlmc@yahoo.ca? Many thanks for any ideas. |

Hi Debbie I use an outdoor kitchen set up even while using the pop up. I put what I need in my two kitchen cupboards from my Cabella camp kitchen. One cupboard holds all of my cooking and eating and dish washing supplies, and the other holds all food we will need for 10 days. We also use coolers so I use the ice box in the camper for bread, snacks, soft things. My elderly mom is the only one to sleep in our camper, so this saves me mega trips in and out. The camp kitchen is quite heavy, so you have to figure that in, along with room to put the cupboards once packed, but well worth it in my opinion. When we are done camping for the season, only one cupboard with the food needs to be emptied out. Hope this helps. Lisa |

| We didn't have a camp kitchen, but I did cook outside with the stove from the camper hung on the side. My utensils (didn't need many) were kept on stackable wire shelves while we were camped and in a plastic tote under the dinette when stored. We also kept soft stuff in the icebox and used coolers for food. We only drink water or lemonade when camping so didn't need one for drinks. Your pop-up sounds a lot like ours. We had a Starcraft StarLounger and really loved it. beverly |
