Camping in AK

Hey All
I'm going to AK the middle of June. I have a rustic cabin in the Chena River Recreation Area. Very Rustic, no water, pit toilet bring everything I need including camp stove.
Has anyone here been up in that neck of the woods and if so any tips.
Also I'm going to ship most of the camping stuff there. Has anyone had experience doing that on any of their trips?
