First trip of the season

Well we're back from our first trip of the season. Had a great time! First time camping in Virginia at Pocahontas State Park near Richmond. Very nice campground and park. Even with the problem of having a flat tire when we got there there's nothing more relaxing that sitting down by the campfire and letting all your worries and cares float away. And we had a surprise hitchhiker return with us that my husband found when he set up the tent when we got home... a Black Widow spider! Yikes!
Hoping that this will be the start of more great adventures for the summer!

Great trip! Thanks for sharing. Black widows really give me the willies. Ever see an MRI of the willies? not pretty...

They are extremely common out here in the desert area. One day I was cranking up the umbrella on the patio table when my son yelled "Black widow! Black widow!" I jumped out of the way brushing and dancing a jig. It was hanging there right where I was. They love moist dark areas out here. Yikes! X 10 !
