Does anyone know of the best, (smallest packed size, lightest) one man tent?
I know Marmot makes a very good one. Anything else?
I'm not looking for a bargain. I'm looking for a great quality tent . . .
thanks

If it is possible, go down to REI or other high end sports store and question the person in the tent area of the store. What type of camping are you going to do? 3 season? 4 season, 1 season? Are you backpacking with the tent or car camping? Will it be used while bicycling? There are alot of questions that should be asked by you and by the person selling the tent.

mec.ca (Mountain Equipment Co-Op) has a large selection of quality tents with good descriptions, weights, etc.

Here is a link that might be useful: Mountain Equipment Co-Op

It's an oldie, but a pretty goodie...Sierra Designs Clip Flashlight. Mine is an even older sleeve Flashhlight, slower to put up is the only difference. It is called a two person tent, but those two people better be real close friends. For one person it has lotsa room for you and some gear. Weighs 4 pounds 6 ounces packed...
