This spider on my wall...

hia!

A minute ago this spider was 'roaming my wall'.
Shot a picture of it just for the heck of it and decideded to research on it because it fascinates me a bit.
I tried to rescue it, get it in a cup to get it outside, but I scared the poor thing and it ran off into the deep bowels of my bedroom. It was pretty fast.
That's why I don't have a better pic.

It's one I haven't seen before here.
Mostly I have those housespiders, don't know what that is in English, it's basically spiders with very long legs and hardly any body....I just leave the little buggers hang there.
Don't cause me no trouble....

I think is they're these;

But this one I haven't seen before....
Hmmm, I just googled a bit and it looks to me that it's an ordinairy housespider... am I right?

hahaha, in that case I've never seen an ordinairy house spider...

another question; should I save spiders in my house or are they fine in here?
As long as it's not a stampede I don't mind the fellers walking about a bit, I'm a hospitable guy...

This question goes for both mentioned species...

thanks in advance!!

BTW!

it was about 1 cm big with the legs....
I live in the Netherlands, europe, a country at the Northsea. Moist area...swamplike.... near Amsterdam

By the outline, it looks a bit like a jumping spider. But without seeing the front of its face, I can't say for certain.

Could be a Mouse Spider (Scotophaeus blackwalli). They are not uncommon as an indoor spider here in the UK and probably in the Netherlands too.
There is a photo on the following link, you will need to scroll down a bit.

Here is a link that might be useful: Mouse Spider

Cool, thanks.
Is does look like the one I found, 12mm is bout right,
and the nocturnal part also fits ( think it was 3 o'clock or something).
Though it didn't have that 'spikey' backside and like the one on the link...

You may want to consult Little Miss Muffet, I believe she is British and closer to your region.
