Boxelder Bug Elimination!

How would I eliminate or minimize Boxelder Bugs? The Orange and Black bugs that cluster on the warm side of the house and when crushed they smell bad. Any eco friendly solutions?

Thanks!

Plain water or soap and water sprays will disperse them.

RE: Boxelder Bug Elimination!

It is very important to eliminate the source of food for the box elder bugs, which I believe are the seeds of the box elder tree. We had white ornamental rocks under the trees, which allowed the seed pods to get trapped in the rocks so there was an endless supply of food. After the laborious and tedious job of taking out all the rocks, and raking up all the plant material from the box elder trees, the box elder bug population went down significantly.
