RE: Desperately Seeking Unwanted Honey Bee’s!

Truewildrose, you might want to try calling your County Extension office and speak to the county agent. They usually know who some of the local bee keepers are and some of these locals have a "swarm" list. This is a list of people who would like to have a swarm of bees that has set up residence somewhere that has to be moved. We have two people in our bee club that go and get swarms. You might also check with your county maintenance office or your local municipal office,as they usually get the calls that a swarm has taken up residence in someones yard and needs to be moved.

Have you looked into just having a brood of bees shipped from California or Texas? I know the price has gone up, but it is still not excessively expensive. Although, it is a little late in the year to be ordering. It may be hard to find an apiary that has any bees left to sell. Good luck.
