mass beetle suicide

| we woke up yesterday to find about 50 dead japanese beetles on our deck. They didn't leave a note, so we have no idea what might have caused this. This morning, again, about another 50 were dead. I did spray my three apple trees last week, could that have been the cause?

| just did a little more research and found out they are june bugs and not japanese beetles. still don't know why this happening though. |

| The adults emerge, mate, lay eggs, then die -- all this within a brief time. |
