Emerald geometer ID help

Posted by chubbles (My Page) on

Found this emerald geometer in Central Florida, Lake County. The closest ID I could find was Synchlora xysteraria which we definitely do get here. However, there are distinct enough differences to make me think that this isn't just a variant (although I am not sure).
Any ideas?
Thanks!

Try Sinchlora cupedinaria; it has a precise pattern match for your moth.

There are other photos on the web, some embedded in large image tables.
