Bees in our attic

We have a hive of honey bees that have been in our attic for a couple of years now. They come and go through a little hole in the eve. No one has been stung and I can't find any damage that they are causing. Should they bee removed :) or left alone? Any thoughts...

If you suspect that the bees may be building a hive, you will definitely want to consider removal. The danger is not in getting stung (necessarily). That is minor compared to the damage a beehive can cause to your house if not removed properly.

You will definitely want to consider California bee control if that is an option for you. Depending on where you are located, that is a great bee removal specialist that prefers to do live bee rescue. This is important because of the current bee shortage epidemic, which I encourage you to read up on if you haven't done so already.

Call your local extension office to find out if they are affiliated with a state bee keepers' association in your area. I expect that they will have a list of professionals who can come and remove the hive (by re-hiving).
