Mystery Larva

I found this little larva - about 1/4" long - eating passiflora incarnata. It doesn't look like any of the slug moth caterpillars in my books, nor does it look like any of the hairstreak cats. Could this be some type of beetle larva?

I didn't realize that my location would be left out of my forum name on this forum - I'm in southeast Mississippi, halfway between Hattiesburg and Gulfport.
