Hi, My husband and I just bought a house and we've been here about a month. We have noticed over this time that we have a colony of ants on our lawn. There are about 7 large mounds. I've tried vinegar, water, boiling water, powder...now all we have is dying grass around these 7 anty mounds...still ants! HELP!!!!

RE: Ants ruining lawn

Get a bag of Diatomaceous Earth and cover your lawn, pull up some of the lawn near the nest and treat under the sod.. Dont buy the stuff from the pool guy, it has extra chemicals in it that will kill your lawn. A nursery should carry it. Apply generously. Do not water as it will reduce the effectiveness of the DE. Do not inhale and dont let your pets breathe the stuff either.
