 o
Bug ID please

Ok, I have no picture but after it bit me I got a great look at it. I'll do my best to describe. It was tiny - probably 1/4 of an inch or maybe smaller and thin as well. It was kinda cream/light yellow in color. 6 legs and it had 2 mandible pinchers(?) off the mouth, which is what I think it used to bite me. Those were dark in color. 6 legs and kinda looked like a segmented body, but I could be wrong about that. I lost it after going to get my camera. I'm in North Central Texas sitting at my patio and it just crawled up from somewhere and bit me on my arm. The bite swelled slightly and is now pretty much gone.

I looked up other bugs and thought it could be maybe a juvenille termite, but it just isn't matching.

Sorry for not having a pic, if I see one again, I'll try to take a pic.

Thanks in advance.

This is pure speculation, but thrips came to mind with your description. They will often sample us just to see if we're edible or not. Which we aren't, at least to the thrips!

Take a look at an assortment of thrips in the attached link.
