| I could swear I posted this already, but I don't see it.
What is this dragon fly doing?
It hung there, at a right angle for about 20 minutes or so.

| Looks like a plant stem and blue sky. One possibility is that it is a newly emerged dragonfly that was drying its wings, just as a new butterfly would. But if you saw it fly onto that perch, scrap that theory. What else were you doing for that 20 minutes? |

That's a new palm frond yet to open.
What was I doing...gotta think back...oh yes!...I was up on my 2nd story front porch, enjoying the Yellow-Crowned Night Herons in the pine across the street.
I was viewing them thru the binocs...that's how I spotted the critter. |
