Good morning,

Might anybody be able to tell me the genus or species of this creature, found in southeastern PA?

Red Leafhopper ?

If it's any help, it was found on a leaf of this Datura stramonium

No clue on the leafhopper, will leave that to rhizo_1 or others, but obviously must be attuned to Datura if munching on it. Wonder if the 'hopper itself would be toxic to predators after munching nightshade?

Rhizo-1 doesn't know what the heck it is. ;-(

The best I can come up with is an unusual color variation of a Coelidia olitoria. Maybe the Datura did it.
