Can someone help me ID this insect?

I have never seen anything like this and was curious if someone could ID it for me. I took this photo in Lancaster, Pa on 8/13/06.

It's an ichneumon wasp, genus Megarhyssa. Parasitic on other woodboring larvae, such as Tremex, a large horntail wasp. Completely harmless to people. It uses the long ovipositor to lay eggs down in the tunnels of the woodboring wasp larvae, which then become food for the Megarhyssa larvae. Ain't bugs great? You may find them fascinating, but I despise them! They are known parasitizers of my butterfly and moth larvae. Yuck! I know, I know, it's nature at its finest, but I still don't like them.
