Bug id needed

Hello! I posted this over in the Texas forum and thought I would try here also.

Hi, Rebecca - those are aphids, and they are certainly not good for your plants - they suck the juices out of them and can be injurious in large numbers. Spray 'em now while there aren't a lot. Hope this helps -

Thank you Tucker. In my little gardening book it had a picture of aphids but they were brown. Now I know they come in yellow too!

They are only on my one plant. I inspected all my other plants. It should be easy enough to take care of.

Well, I'm sure I'll be back with another mystery bug one day! Thanks:-)

Is the plant a milkweed (Asclepias)? They look like the dreaded milkweed aphid.
