Do house centipedes burrow in dirt?

| This weekend I removed the air conditioner that has been in my bedroom window on the side of my house that faces a garden center. I have had problems with house centipedes before, I assume they come from that garden center next door.
After I removed the AC unit from my window I notice a mound of dirt about an inch and a half high and 3 inches wide on the window sill. This part of the window sill was exposed to outside since the screen was lift up to make way for the AC unit, any insect had complete access to this area.
The mount of dirt was very hard. I noticed a hole in the side of it. When I took my screw driver to break it open, I found the broken up remains of a house centipede.
What is this all about? |

| Perhaps part of a dirt dauber (wasp) nest? |

| Would a house centipede go inside of one of those to die? |

| The wasp would PUT a centipede in there to die, lol. Do a search on mud (dirt) dauber wasps to see if it's a match. It was merely speculation on my part without an image or a detailed description. |

| That makes sense. I looked up the dauber and saw some of the nests. What I had looks similar but there were so many different types on Google that it's hard to tell. So House Centipedes wouldn't collect dirt like that, correct? I just want to make sure that wasn't a house centipede nest that millions of babies came out of in order to torment me! |

| House centipedes don't make that kind of nest, so you don't have to worry about that. |
