I live in Long Island, NY and am thinking of getting one for the backyard. We have a lot of bugs and I've heard that this is a good environmental way to help get rid of the excessive amount of mosquitos, gnats, etc...

But there are so many to choose from and how do bats know to come there? Should I wait until spring, since we are heading into colder months?

Any input is welcome.
