Spider ID

I found a spider in my garage. It is a largish brown spider, about an inch across with red on the top of its legs and the top of it's abdomen was flattened, possibly because it was found under a can. Underneath has a black or dark brown "head" pattern with white "eyes".

I have pictures on another link, I originally posted it in the wrong forum. It was found in Michigan.

I would appreciate it if anyone could have an ID or some information on it.

Thanks, Marbree

Here is a link that might be useful: What kind of spider is this? from the GardenWeb Great Lakes forum.

RE: Spider ID

It looks like an araneus species, a common orb-weaver. It's darker than the ones we have here in SoCal, but those markings on the underside are very similar.
