Can anyone identify these eggs?

These eggs are on our wood siding in Southern California. They are about .025 inches in diameter (i.e. less than 1/32 inch). There is a nail head to the left for perspecitve. Does anyone know what they are?

Moths lay eggs like that. But usually on leaves! You could watch & wait for what happens next.

Some truebugs, like stinkbugs, also lay eggs like that.
