Butterfly out of hibernation early

Posted by thaiww (My Page) on

A butterfly has been hibernating on the cealing in our house for about 2 months, we left it to it but it has now woken up early. It is now fluttering around the llivingroom and the cats eyeing it up...
Im not sure if I should let it out or keep it in. Its very cold at the moment and I dont want to kill it.
It is trying to get out so i feel harsh keeping it in.

Any ideas????

It emerged early because it was in a warmer than normal environment. I'm sorry but there's nothing you can do that will help it survive until it can go outdoors.

Let it go out otherwise your cats wont spare. If left out, it will somehow find its survival.
