| It is not a great pic I know (just got a new camera and still learning how to use it, lol) I live in Baton ROuge, Louisiana, i don't remember seeing birds that look like these in the photo, before, at least not close up, and just wanted to see if anyone could id them. They are in a pecan tree in the photo, thanks.

| Those are Cedar Waxwings...you probably heard their very high-pitched call-notes when they flew in or out. You might get quicker responses to bird ID questions if you post on the Bird Watching Forum (some of us BirdNerds only look there). Also, if you password-protect your photobucket account, we won't be able to see all of your pix. |

| Thanks, I did some research yesterday and was hoping that they were cedar waxwings, I never get anything in my yard but blujays, cardinals, starlings, blackbirds, and house sparrows, so I was excited to have a different species! LOL, i don't mind if anyone looks at my photobucket pics, they are probably all pretty boring anyway, lol. THanks! I am going to try to attract some more cedar waxwings to my yard, but i think they are only in my area during winter, if i remember correctly, thanks again. |

I live in the mtns. of Va-----saw our first flock of Cedar Waxwings just theis week!!! So exciting! Tons of snow all over but we had TONS of Robins, also---they managed to converge on all the Hollies and find bare ground under trees and shrubs with a southern exposure! Very uplifting after this rough winter! Kathy |
