Hello Everyone, I am new here and also to living in Florida so I have a lot to learn about the flora and fauna.

I found this snake, about 1 meter / 40 inches long, in our driveway / front garden yesterday and would like to know what kind it is and if it is poisonous.

Thanking you for any help.

Nice pictures - that is a corn snake, and a real beauty. It is harmless to humans - feeds on rodents & birds. Leave it alone, and you'll never have to worry about mice & rats!

Thanks, Tucker, it's nice to know that we have a helper in the garden.
