| Looks like a Chicken Turtle- habitat looks a bit like its in the SE US. |

| We have millions of those i south Florida but I couldn`t tell you what it is other than its a turtle and it lives in fresh water. |

| That looks like one of those little dime-store 'pet' turtles that parents turn loose into a local stream or lake after the kids get tired of feeding them. They used to cost 10 cents when I was a kid, but I think they cost a lot more now. |

| Atrox got it - its an Eastern Chicken Turtle (Dierochelys reticularia). Commonly mistaken for yellowbelly sliders. ~Mike |
