Oh my, a very sick looking coyote.

Coyote with a bad case of mange. He should be much fluffier than that.

RE: In my back yard

It looks like a malnourished kit fox to me.

RE: In my back yard

Could be a fox ... where is this "back yard"?

RE: In my back yard

Looks like a little red fox and he looks like he's got some kind of injury which may be why he let you get so close. Be very careful when he's around. Call animal control.

Um...that is definitely, 100% without a doubt a red fox (Vulpes vulpes) with mange - not a coyote...

I don't know where your posting from but in these parts (new England) Coyotes look more like small gray/brown German Shepherds. This is definitely a red fox! A sick skinny mangy one. Poor thing. The black boots and two toned face give it away. Long pointy tail... no mistaking his foxy ears!

fox, poor thing looks so sad. be carefull he or she could have rabbies. looks like it has the mange and maybe skin mights. just think how pretty the poor thing was before it got this way.

It's a red fox, could have mange, they look really skinny in the summertime even when they are healthy. I just saw one yesterday.
