Baby Blue Snake

I was camping in the woods this weekend. I picked up a piece of wood from a pile that has been in place for the past two years....I saw a tiny snake about 3 inches long that had stripes down his body and the last 1/2 of his body was a brilliant light blue color....Can you tell me if this is a blue racer. I live in SW Missouri.

Sounds more like a five lined skink. Their range extends into MO. You may not have seen it's legs.
