| i live in lincoln, r.i. I have a mystery. there is an animal that i have yet to see.. on numerous occasionas i have heard an animal that sounds like a horse neighing but very soft...i have just purchased a trail camera but any one have any ideas..no not a fox fisher racoon, opossum... |

| If this happens at night, I'd strongly suspect screech owls. One of their characteristic calls is called a 'whinny' as a matter of fact. It's quite soft, a pretty sound. |

| solved!!! it ia a screech owl...thnk you for the tip[..i founds a site that has the sounds they make and it is the whinny..i was so excited that i found out what it is! |
