Caterpillar Identification

This was actually found in an ashtray that we keep outside on our front porch. I live in Sulphur, Louisiana. He looks a bit like he's dying, but we put him in a container previously used to house a morphing caterpillar. Any ideas?

RE: Caterpillar Identification

Looks like on of the big silkworm moths, like a Luna. It may be discolored to prepare to pupate and make its cocoon. Hope that's what happened.
