GREAT photo,
definitely worth the grass stains on your elbows..

Thanks. No grass stains though, I shot this from my patio. I often sit out in my yard most of the day with a camera mounted on a tripod or monopod. What else is a retired person to do? I think my neighbors are wondering even more about me as I get older. :)

Very cute I have a ground hog too! His name is Dr. Phil

He's pigging out!

Nice pictures of Dr. Phil! I noticed on your page that you like humming birds. Here is a picture I took last Summer.

Humming bird.

I hope my link works this time.

That's beautiful! Is that a ruby-throat? It looks so dark. Sarah

RE: Baby Groundhog

Yes it is a ruby-throat. It was a little dark that day. I should have done some more post processing in PhotoShop Elements. A long telephoto lens tends to be slower than normal lenses and needs a little bit more expousure time. I wanted to stop the flight of the humming bird, so I under exposed the shot and used a higher sutter speed. This was also taken in my back yard with my Pentax ist*D.
