I am looking to purchase a new camera to take pictures of my kids cross country and track and field events. I started taking photos this past year and making slide shows for their banquets. Someone suggested the Nikon D60 Any ideas or advice? Thanks!!!

What's your budget, what sports are you trying to capture? What's your "qulity" expectation? I think we need more info on your needs.

Nikon. Anything. The D80 used if you can find one, the D90 is outstanding as well. Or, if you got the big money to spend, the D3 is the best out there, bar none.
