Image stabilization VS Anti-Blur?

I'm wondering how Fuji S5200's Anti-Blur feature compares with image stabilization. Fuji claims its superior. Anybody know whether that's so?

RE: Image stabilization VS Anti-Blur?

This is strictly my opinion as I have no experience with this model camera. I personally would prefer an image stabilized lens as opposed to the system of high ISO settings to achieve roughly the same thing. Setting the ISO high on any camera will help because it makes the camera use a higher shutter speed resulting in less camera movement during the short exposure. The Fuji, as I understand it, has a very high maximum ISO setting of 1600. But with an ISO of 1600 the camera will introduce noticable 'noise' into the image so that right there is a big trade-off in my opinion and not worth it, to me at least. The very same Fuji using a low ISO (which is preferred by most photographers unless a high ISO is called for) won't do a thing to assist with images that won't be blurred due to camera or subject movement. In other words, the only time this camera will help to make an image pretty clear is when it's using a very high ISO and, as mentioned above, you sacrifice image quality because of it.

Thanks ever so, Ralph! That's kinda what I thought. I've seen some great pics taken with the Fuji and keep wishing they'd go ahead and put in IS. Right now, I'm using a Konica Minolta Dimage Z3. For a while, I totally loved it, but it's turned out to be pretty useless in the slightest low light. >8\
