Bino/digi camera??
| | |
Posted by herpboy (My Page) on Thu, Dec 29, 05 at 12:42
| Has anyone used and taken pictures with any digital camera binocular combo? specifically I'd be interested in seeing the results from busnells 3.1 megapixel camera.
Thanks

| Well, the short version is: binoculars are cheaper than good long-focal-length lenses. Since most of the cost in either one of those is the optics, there's no free lunch--binoculars are cheaper because the optics aren't as good. Not worth bothering with for photography, IMO. Patrick Alexander |

| I've read a lot of comments about those gadgets and have never read a post from a satisfied user. |

| My wife gave me one as a gift (digital bino-cam) thinking the photos would look like the picture on the box. They really look like a picture taken with a webcam only less color, if that's possible. Don't waste you money. I understand some spotterscopes can be mated with a good camera with great results. Expect to pay a bit for quality oprics though. |
