Wondering what kind of Hawk(s)/Raptors I'm seeing??

I live in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, right in the middle of the city. Recently, at work (5 min from my home) I have noticed these large birds, usually two, sometimes 3 of them, gliding/soaring very, very high on sunny days. They appear to be brownish in color, and are very beautiful to watch, but I haven't been able to get a good look because I keep forgetting to bring my binoculars. Also yesterday, afternoon, what appeared to be a Hawk flew right over my backyard, flying a lot lower than the birds I have been seeing at work. This is only my second experience seeing a Hawk so close to my yard, last year, in middle of summer, I was outside talking on the phone and happened to witness a "Hawk" swoop down and try to catch a Bluejay that was eating from one of my feeders in a crepe myrtle tree. I was so shocked, I had never seen anything like it! Anyway, score one for the Bluejays that day because the Hawk missed, and then flew over and perched on a power line pole and left after a few minutes, it was quite an experience though. If anyone has any idea what type of Hawk(s)(if they are hawks) I may be seeing here in my area, please let me know, thanks.

The big birds are most likely Turkey or Black vultures; the hawk probably a Cooper's hawk.
