Hawk ID, and also wondering if this hawk may be injured?????

I saw this hawk while driving down the road, it was making a noise i have never heard a red tailed hawk make, but was thinking it was probably a red tailed hawk, maybe immature?? I also noticed when i got a closer look at the pics that it looks like this hawk is injured, or something wrong with one of its legs, i can only see one foot perched, and looks like there is something going on where the other leg is supposed to be but maybe i'm wrong. I have a short video also, you can hear the whistling sound the hawk was making, will try to post the link, thanks.

Hi,

It's an adult Red-tailed hawk, and it is relaxed! They stand on one foot when relaxed.

Thanks! So when do their tails get the reddish plumage? This one had brown striped tail feathers, I thought that the adults had red tails but I know very little about red tailed hawks so I thought I would ask, thanks! Oh, also, what's that whistling noise that it is making? There is a redtailed hawk couple that lives in my area, I used
To see them Together all the time, now they seem to be hanging out solo mostly, I wondered if this one might be one of their "kids" from this year or year before, this one's plumage looks a lot darker than the male and female I usually see in the area.
